Our spark erosion capacity complements the wire erosion facilities and enables creation of cavities and 3D forms for mould making and associated applications. Electrodes can be made by Wire erosion, Grinding & 3D machining.
The ultimate method of cutting burr-free, deep holes through very hard and difficult materials, such as tool steel, titanium, inkonel etc., in the capacity range of 0.5 - 3.0mm diameter, with hole depth up to 100 x diameter.
Although the wire erosion process was initially associated with tool making, it now has far wider applications, in which we have continuously invested so that the company has the facility for machining very small components (one off production) through to a maximum submersed cutting area of 750mm x 500mm x 350mm, with a maximum weight of two tonne, in any conductive material.
